Horse Therapy

We are working with REACH - a charity specialising in Equine Assisted Therapy.

Students from Ramsden Hall Academy have attended Crown Farm stables for the past three years.
Students are introduced to the staff, have health and safety rules explained to them and are shown around the yard.

Each week tasks are set and adjusted to suit the individual. Ponies are available to ride and complete tasks on.
All students finish their sessions with greater confidence, understanding and ability. All students have a chance to bond with the ponies away from the school environment, leading them to be more expressive, calm and focused.

Students generally spend 6 weeks at the stables but this can vary dependent on suitability, need and assessment by school staff and REACH charity. We currently have three Year 9 and one year 7 attending the stables.
